Job Deux

I have been working for over a month now for Creative Renovations, a small company that does remodels of villas in the area. Villa is French for an average house you spent too much money for in the South of France. The owner is Paul, an Englishman who has been living here for about 20 years. He is all right to work for.

French electrics are more like proper electrics (i.e., American electrics) than the British electrics. The French use branch circuits, while the English use ring circuits (30A breaker two sets of 15A wire forming a ring. Because only 15A will go on each set. No, really).

That is it for the similarities between the French electrics and a proper electric system. Well, maybe not completely, but I sure do seem to say "Are you Mad?" a lot when I go to a jobsite to pick up a mess left by someone else. I am a pooper scooper.

It is not quite that bad. Well, yes it can be, but Paul is pretty good to work for. He is good about getting me tools and materials, doesn't try to spend a dollar to save a dime, and he pays me. The other guys I work with are a mixture of French and English so my Franglish is coming along nicely. C'est bon dumbass!
