Errands, rugby, and giving directions to Texans

So, this was a Saturday like most recent Saturdays. Got up and did the grocery shopping so we could watch rugby, Tri-Nations, at 12 noon, and drink beer. Grimbergen blanche (a white wheat beer) avec une piece de citron (with a slice of lemon). South Africa lost, first lost in the tournament, to the Australians, who played much better than they have all tournament. Next weekend, the Kiwis and the Wallabies. If the Kiwis win, then the tourney comes down to their final game against the Springboks. Getting pretty interesting.

Then, while waiting for Kari to get her bus pass, I heard that oh so familiar drawl. Two couples from Texas were looking for the bus back to Cannes, and so I got them pointed in the correct direction. Hopefully, they get back to their cruiseship okay.

Oh, and they had family in Novato. Small, small world.
